Mulhouse Christmas Market
The Mulhouse Christmas market is back for a new edition from November 22 to December 27, 2024. Located in the heart of the historic center, discover a traditional Alsatian market with its wooden chalets, mulled wine and artisanal nuggets to slip under the tree.
At nightfall, the city is adorned with its most beautiful lights in a magical atmosphere.
Its special feature? A special fabric printed each year for the Christmas holidays, which recalls the city's textile past.
Come and stroll through the aisles of the Christmas market scented with cinnamon and wine and admire the work of the artisans. You can find some New Year's gifts to slip under the tree such as jewelry, pottery, honey or other delicacies.
Don't forget to try Alsatian specialties such as sauerkraut, tarte flambée or knepflas, accompanied by a good glass of mulled wine with spices.
For 5 weeks, the wooden chalets will be installed on Place de la Réunion, around the Temple Saint-Etienne and Place des Cordiers with its stamp bar.
This year, a special Christmas fabric will be presented at the Étoffes boutique. Inspired by the collections of the Musée de l'Impression sur Étoffe, it traces the 800 years of history of Mulhouse.
In shades of red, white and green, it will be perfect to brighten up your Christmas table. The fabric is available by the meter and is also available as table linen, accessories, Christmas decorations and bow ties.
Why not climb aboard the little Christmas train to get a glimpse of the city before admiring the strolls of dancers or acrobats in the streets.
From 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., meet at the Square de la Bourse to attend a sound and light show on the 800 years of history of Mulhouse. The opportunity to learn more about its industrial epic or the construction of its ramparts.
Workshops will be organized throughout the market to make cards with models of past fabrics or to make Advent wreaths.
