In Lorraine, in the Vosges, discover a haven of peace at an altitude of 650 metres: the Berchigranges garden.
This private garden, which is open to the public, was created by a passionate couple: 20 years of work were needed to transform a wooded plot into a magnificent 2-hectare garden.
An exceptional garden
What a surprise to discover this lush, flower-filled garden on the crests of the Vosges mountains!
The figures are staggering: to plant and acclimatise the more than 4,000 varieties of plants, the owners had to bring in thousands of cubic metres of soil. The result is well worth the diversions:
- A maze
- Different atmospheres: rock garden, Bohemian garden, flower meadows...
- Plants and flowers from near and far: Himalayan blue poppies, wild cherry trees from Tibet...
- Small waterfalls and streams add to the serene atmosphere.
