Head for the Schlucht Pass, one of the main passes in the Vosges: this is where the Haut Chitelet high altitude garden is located.
Nestled at an altitude of 1,228 metres, this unique garden invites you to discover numerous species of Alpine plants and flowers.
You will find no less than 2,500 plants, spread over 11 hectares. The Vosges flora is obviously highlighted.
The aim of the garden is to help you discover this extraordinary plant world, but it is also a real space for the preservation of threatened plant species.
Birdwatchers will appreciate the fact that the Haut Chitelet high altitude garden is a refuge of the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux.
However, you will have to wait a little longer to discover this little haven of peace with a reopening planned for June 1st 2023.
